AOP 13 was on FX the other day. I started to watch it but got annoyed at all the edits so I went out and rented it. I liked it a lot even though some parts were predictable.

LF is pretty good at saying a lot without really saying anything at all.

Anyone else like this remake of a remake of Rio Bravo?

I really liked the original Assault on Precinct 13 but I haven't seen the remake.

Heretic! John Carpenter movies are not to be trifled with.

There is nothing wrong with the original movie. John Carpenter is one of the GOAT.

The original was shot in Detroit, and Toronto. I worked on the Toronto crew, as EMS on site medical support.

The original was far superior and I am a huge Carpenter fan. The dark gritty film setting invoked a feeling of dread and the characters were believable. That scene at the ice cream truck was shocking and the film score was great too. The remake just seemed like a run of the mill action movie to me that was
