Anyone know how well netflicks works? Movies (cd's) through the mail sounds great, but, what is the time factor?
I have Netflix and love it.
Every time I have received a DVD or sent back a DVD it's always a one-day turnaround. For instance...I get the DVD on Monday, mail it back on Tuesday, they mail me a new one on Wednesday, which I receive on Thursday.
You will also notice that for many of the movies you have the option to watch instantly on your computer if you don't want to wait to get it in the mail. A pretty neat feature to not have any mail time at all...especially if it's a movie you think you'd like but don't want to "waste" the mail time on it.
You can always cancel if you don't like it. And you can cancel online too, not like you have to call in and be hassled by some retention specialist (like AOL, for instance). I've never had any problems with them at all.
No problems on my service either. Although turn around time is longer for me...I live in Wrangell, AK so it does take a couple or so days to arrive. However, Netflix ALWAYS emails an expected arrival date (as well as a "we got it back" email) and the movies are usually here one day before. It's easy and convenient and I really like the "no late fees" part
We have never had a problam. It takes 2-3 days turn around here,( return to new one sent.) We had a 'bad' movie once that kept sticking and reported it. They not only sent a new one but an extra movie of our choice as well.
I've had Netflix since 2004 and love it.
It felt so good to say goodbye to Blockbuster.
We have a two-day turnaround.
My son loves the Play Instantly function, but I haven't used it much (might prefer it if I had a laptop.)

Ditto that. Netflix is great.
I watch a lot of instant movies on my laptop - usually on the weekends at 2:00 am when I can't sleep.

I am a recent member of netflix and i love it. I have a newborn baby and moved to a new state so its very heard for me to go out and see a movie. netflix is an awesome alternative. If i mail the dvd on monday it usually gets there by tuesday and by wednesday i have another movie. I have also been watching movies instantly on my familys media computer and its awesome! There have television series that you can watch as well. Also it might be worth it to sign up for the free two week trial. If you dont want it make sure to cancel it before the 2 week trial is up or else your membership wont be canceled.
