Let's start a new thread about our fav actresses. I'd like you to post actresses not just because they are beautiful women but because you do like their characters in some movies. It would be great if you post the titles of movies starring your fav actress and where you liked her character. And of course it would be awesome if you post some pics so other people can take a look at your favs.

Here are my picks:

1. Marilyn Monroe.
The greatest actress ever. I do adore her characters in:

a) 'Gentlemen Prefer Blonds'
b) 'Some Like It Hot'
c) 'The Seven Year Itch'

Some pics:

'Gentlemen Prefer Blonds' pic #1

'Gentlemen Prefer Blonds' #2

The next pic below is from the episode when Sugar (Monroe) tries to make the acquaintance of a fake Florida's millionaire Lol

Marilyn Monroe:
Tell me, who runs up that flag? Your wife?

Tony Curtis:
No, my flag steward.

Marilyn Monroe:
Who mixes the cocktails? Your wife?

Tony Curtis:
No, my cocktail steward.
Look, if you're interested in whether I am married or not...

Marilyn Monroe:
Oh, I'm not interested at all.

Tony Curtis:
Well, I'm not.

Marilyn Monroe:
That's very interesting.

'Some Like It Hot'

2. Sarah Jessica Parker.
I do like her character (Carrie Bradshaw) in the 'Sex And The City' series.

3. Renee Zellweger.
I'm into her characters in 'Me, Myself & Irene' and 'Bridget Jones's Diary'. Sad, but I didn't manage to find good pics from the movies starring her so I have to post here some other pics.

Nice list.
ExPit, I see you are the great fan of Barbara Streisand.
As for Amy Adams. I saw her for a first time in the series named 'Office' with Steve Carell. Have you seen that series in the first season about a saleswoman who sales bags for women. It was a cool series. Amy played a saleswoman who came into the office to sell her bags. Steve Carell tried to date her but failed Lol
Here is the link to that series (sorry, could not find a better quality video)

Another movie where I saw Amy later was 'Serving Sara' (a cool comedy starring Matthew Perry).

I like as my favorites in this order

1--Audrey Hepburn
2--Meryll Streep (liked her for since Deerhunter, before the whole world decided she was the best thing since sliced bread, wanted to not like her because of this now but that would not be fair.
3--the level would drop a bit, then i would say Charlize theron
4--A french actress Audrey Tatou,
5-- Hillary Swank
6-- Kate winslett
7--Angelina Jolie
7--Julia Roberts

I chose these women on talent alone. I did not judge what they look like, just what they have done in film. There are a few I am sure I didn not think of, but these are my picks of the best actressess.

Default Liz Taylor in, "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

She never struck me as a great actress, until I saw her in this Edward Albee movie with her husband, Richard Burton. It is as good a performance as I've ever seen on film.

These women you mentioned are by far one of the most beautiful actresses in the cinema.
Jolie was really cool in the Tomb Raider.

My fav movie starring Jolie was 'Life Or Something Like It'.
