Geostorm (2017) After an unprecedented series of natural disasters threatened the planet, the world's leaders came together to create an intricate network of satellites to control the global climate and keep everyone safe.
As disaster flicks go, it was pretty much what you would expect.
Not much storm in the Geostorm. A few things here and there, but nothing like the disasters in 2012 or San Andreas. I was a bit bored and was ready for it to be over.

I love disaster movies -- well, the halfway decent ones -- but I thought this was terrible. (And I have EXTREMELY pedestrian tastes, so that's saying something!) I was telling a friend that it was trying to be a disaster movie...and trying to be sci-fi...and trying to be a family drama... And the villain's motivation really made no sense. (Or maybe, it wasn't that the motivation made no sense, it was that the method she/he chose to carry it out made no sense.) Just really stupid.
