We’ve been watching golden oldies....last night, Overboard. Why can’t anyone make simple, fun, entertaining movies like this anymore?
Next up, Clueless.
James Woods, is a hugely underrated actor. I recently watched "Salvador" and shortly after "Cop", and he was very good in both, especially the former.
I haven’t seen those, but I’ll check into them.
I wouldn’t say he is underrated (he’s an Oscar nominee), but he’s definitely not as A-list as he deserves to be.
Another great drug movie with him is Another Day in Paradise (1998). He definitely loses his **** in this one, too. Larry Clark, same director that did Kids.

He was quite excellent in "Salvador". And also check out "Once Upon A Time in America" - a great film dominated by the presence of Robert DeNiro, and rightly so. But Woods plays a good supporting role.
Catching a few stray comments here and there, I was actually worried, though I need not have given it a second thought. A critic I follow didn't like it (gave it 2 out of 4 stars), and while I don't normally do this, I read his entire review, before I decided to see it. He was wrong (about a few things). Those three guys were great - playing themselves. And their moms. This is not to be missed. And after people started filing out when the credits rolled, a few got caught when they flashed an extra scene several minutes in and stopped, to watch it in full.
