I watched The China Syndrome for the first time a week or so ago.. One of those movies I've always heard about but never seen. Enjoyable. Good suspenseful movie, though I'm not sure the technical details were overly accurate on it, especially in today's world.
I should clarify.. What I was referring to was the inspection process. That there could be a design flaw or skipped weld x-rays that could get through the process and that if someone raised a red flag about it, that it would be ignored.
The technical side so far as the reactor and the inner workings and the meltdown.. Absolutely, no argument with that at all. My questioning is more on the interaction with the NRC and all. The technicalities of regulation.
"The Disappointment Room" Truly, a disappointment.
