Lion and I thought this was an excellent film even though I'm not one for subtitles (poor vision) but the 2nd half of the movie is in English. I would like to buy the dvd but it seems I have to find and confirm it is a region1 dvd first.

Lion is a 2016 biographical drama film directed by Garth Davis (in his feature debut) and written by Luke Davies, based on the non-fiction book A Long Way Home by Saroo Brierley.

I just saw, "If beele st could talk." It was so boring. Every scene just seemed the same. I don't care how movies like this keep perpetuating racism either. We get it, evil whitey exists. Kept waiting for that song by the Fugees, but it never came. False advertisement!

I usually agree with the critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but such was not the case with the last two movies I've recently seen.

First, was Gloria Bell. Critics loved it, I didn't care for it. Great cast, though.

Second, was The Aftermath. Critics did not like it, I liked it well enough.

I just watched Barefoot (2014) on Prime Video last night. It was a low budget, simple movie, and I give it 3.5 stars out of 5. It was about a guy who works as a janitor in a mental hospital who takes a psychiatric patient to his brother's wedding and they get to know each other.
