“The Catcher Was A Spy” on Showtime
Paul Rudd plays Moe Berg, the journeyman catcher who spoke 10 languages and spied for the OSS in WW2
Interesting but not that suspenseful—6/10
Has good cast but the story doesn’t take us into Berg’s inner life...he was good at keeping secrets...
Watched East Side Sushi (2015) on Amazon, a film about a Latino woman in Oakland, CA who wants to be a sushi chef.
Very nice movie, beautifully done and heartwarming.
All the officers were disloyal. They were always fighting me. If the crew wanted their shirt-tails out, they'd let them. Take the tow line. Defective equipment. But they began spreading wild rumors about steaming in circles. And then old yellowstain. I was to blame for Maryk's incompetence. Maryk was the perfect officer, but not Queeg. But the strawberries, that's where I had them. I proved with geometric logic that a duplicate key to the icebox existed. I could have produced that key. They were protecting some officer. Naturally, I can only cover these things from memory. If I've left anything out, just ask me specific questions and I'll be glad to answer them one by one.
I recently watched "In the Line of Fire (1993)" for the second time.
I saw it at a movie theater way back in 1993 and had not seen it since. It was free on my cable movie list. Clint Eastwood, Rene Russo and John Malkovich all acted excellently and there were a couple other decent performances, too.

I saw this a while back—it was a very good movie—low on budget but high in likeability and other factors...
I watched Kong Skull Island for the first time. It was in the miscellaneous movie bin at Walmart for five dollars so I decided to buy it. It was okay, but nothing great. John Goodman and Tom Hiddleston were good in their roles.
“Wolf” Mike Nichols directed Jack Nicholson and MIchelle Pfeiffer
Bought it on Amazon—never comes on cable or streaming service
Really enjoy the physical elements of Nicholson turning into a wolf
And James Spader was just so beautiful—as gorgeous as Brad Pitt—Pitt has held up better...
