Fast Five -- Very much enjoyed it. It was like The Fast and the Furious meets Ocean Eleven meets The Bank Job. I haven't been keeping up with this franchise, but you can definitely come into this movie without knowing too much about the players. You have to suspend disbelief, but the movie's a lot of fun.
Thor -- It seems weird that Kenneth Branagh would direct this, and yet once you see it...not so much. It's very much that sort of Shakespearean family drama (minus the tragedy). Funny parts and lots of good action. A nice balance of everything. (And as an aside, I LOVED the set design/imagining of Asgard. Beautiful.)
If youre talking movie watched at the theater then i believe it was Transformers 2 (which is one big reason why I havent wasted money on going to any more movies).
My wife just got done watching The Rite. I think the last movie I watched was Top Gun since it was the anniversary
"Win, Win" with Paul Giamatti ( a wonderful actor IMO). I loved this film, a bittersweet , funny and poignant small budget film with a big heart. Great script, superb actors, proof positive that great movie making and story-telling is still flourishing in the US.
I just watched "How to train your dragon" for the umpteenth time and I love it! When I'm on my feet all day long and I finally get a chance to relax, just to zone out, I'll watch that on "demand".
My son talked me into watching a Jack Black movie. Gulliver's Travels. One word, *ugh* Not even funny or cute. Just.....eh.
In the running for worst movie ever. Although it was 10 times better than the other one he did where he was a caveman.
