I'll give a strong thumbs-up to Ronny Chieng, "Asian Comedian Destroys America!"

The Interview, starring Hugo Weaving.

One morning a man is seized from his bed by the police and brought into an interview room and interrogated for hours. Initially he is brought in about a stolen car, but it is slowly revealed to involve a serial killing. At this time Internal Affairs is investigating the way in which investigating officers work.

Very intense.

A Hidden Life. Slow, thoughtful, and haunting.

Her Smell (2019), Alex Ross Perry - 10/10 ( Amazon stream $1.99 )

Sometimes a film will lose you in the beginning, and the comeback is unforeseen and surprising in it's execution. I should have had more faith in Alex Ross Perry ( if you haven't seen his 2011 film The Color Wheel - seek it out and you'll be rewarded... it's available on Amazon Prime ).

Spoiler
I'm still trying to figure out the title sequence lol.

The Dead Don't Die (2019), Jim Jarmusch - 9/10

Destined to be a Halloween classic. Jim Jarmusch, so it was inevitable that I'd eventually see this. Some of his regulars; Tilda Swinton, Rosie Perez, Iggy Pop, RZA, Tom Waits ( almost steals it - in a Bill Murray film to boot! ). You may also recognize Carol Kane. Also: Steve Buscemi, Chloe Sevigny, and Adam Driver. Some great lines.

The world is perfect. Appreciate the details.

Saw Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this evening, it was fine, but not memorable. I just finished watching Guardians of the Galaxy 2 for the 2nd time and enjoyed it very much. Just found out volume 3 won't come out til 2023 when I'm 71 years old, dammit.
