The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It was good. Teenage angst, but it had an element of realism that kept it from being too angsty. I teared up a couple times. Logan Lerman (lead actor) was excellent! (Emma Watson, lead actress, was less so.)

Also saw Argo and Taken 2 this week.

Just watched Maximum Conviction, a kick-ass Steven Seagal movie!
Good, but not super good! So, I give it 3.75 stars out of 5.

The sound of my voice, A Sundance film. Good drama about a young couple investigating a cult who's leader claims to be from the year 2054 having traveled back in time. Brit Marling starred and co-written. Movie needed some more backstory and epth but great performances and interesting story.

It was interesting, but I found some parts of it confusing. Why did the little girls father give her shots? What were they? What was the significance of it? Why did the FBI agent ask if they requested a child?

I heard there was going to be two more sequels to this movie, maybe the answers will come with them.

On HBO. The Girl. It was about Alfred Hitchcock and actress Tippi Hedren. Man, Hitchcock was really a pervert!

The Intouchables Official Trailer #1 (2012) HD Movie - YouTube

"The Intouchables" a fantastic film, the acting is superb, this is a very irreverent, non PC film but also tender, poignant and uplifting and life affirming. Could have veered into the schmaltzy and sentimental but does not. It does lose a little in translation but nonetheless an absolute joy , an ode to life and friendship and living to the full.

Gloriously performed and shot and a subject which could have been somber and depressing, handled with a deft touch and a lot of humour.

A little gem of a film. Joyous and rumbunctious it slaps you on the back and embraces you with a big bear hug. Every single person leaving the cinema was smiling and I have not met one person yet who did not enjoy it. Loved it ! Francois Cluzet impeccable as usual but the real star is Omar Sy who simply explodes on the screen and mesmerises you with his presence.
