Watched "War Room" last night, a faith based movie. Exceptional.
I've seen some movies from the Christian/Faith Based genre that were poor quality, too predictable, and with terrible acting. This was first rate, very well acted, moving and powerful.
The Hateful 8. Good story, very violent. Typical Tarantino dialog. MY DH liked it a lot. I liked it with reservations about the bloodiness.
Yes, same here. I thought it was a "good movie," but I can't say that I enjoyed it very much. The excessive violence and use of the n-word and other pejoratives wore on me after a while. And it's a LONG movie.
Old-school cold war thriller. Focused on dialogue and character performance rather than action, which stood out compared to most movies coming out in theatres nowadays.
True Grit (1969), Henry Hathaway......★★★★ Gotta watch more John Wayne. I'm now in a western kick with seeing The Hateful Eight and The Revenant as well as that Jane's Got a Gun Trailer.
