I agree. After I watched that movie I thought about some reviews I read where they said Brie carried the young boy. I totally disagree with that; the boy carried her through it if anything. Great little actor there.

Legend with Tom Hardy.
I have no idea if this was a good movie or not. I struggled to understand the accent, gave up and turned it off.

A great survival film. Like Cast Away and Deliverance, you have after the fact scenes which are very telling in what happens after the story.
I agree with you. And I do wonder how I would cope in similar circumstances.

Cast Away, is as you say, very similar to Walkabout. Although I will say I only became engrossed in the film during Hanks' tenure on the island living a Robinson Crusoe existence. The final act was perhaps a little too trite for my liking. But generally a very good film as a whole.

Oh, and who can forget "Wilson", and that oh-so sad parting of the ways! I cried and cried and cried watching that scene. Still do in fact. How the hell can a person get so emotional over a basketball. But it worked so well that I almost felt "Wilson" was real,

Blast of Silence (1961), Allen Baron ★★★★★

You're home again...

I can see Francis Ford Coppola paying homage to this film [ with the final Don Fanucci scene ] < spoiler-hightlight to read.

One of my favourite foreign films, coupled with Takeshi Kitano's wonderfully OTT performance, "Battle Royale" is a rollercoaster of shocks, violence, betrayal, murder, friendship and more brutal killings.

Relentless from start to finish, and is an early prelude to The Hunger Game franchise we have today, BR is a lot of sick fun for those mindless evenings where you just want to veg in front of the tv and not have to think too hard about anything

American Graffiti (1973), love that movie and watched it yesterday for the first time in years, I loved how believable the characters were and I've felt like that I knew them.
