I went last night and it was .............. fabulous! Meryl Streep was absolutely amazing and the movie provided a lot of comedy and... believe it or not.... romance! I recommend it. Two spatulas up! LOL

I saw the preview and I think I would love that movie!
I didn't know these two people really existed, though...

Saw it yesterday! I agree. . . 2 spatula's up! Merging of story lines is wonderfully done, and provides a comic element that would otherwise not be present. Meryl Streep is excellent, as expected. . . another classic Nora Ephron film. . . highly recommended!

It was a cute movie! It wouldn't make my list of best movies ever, since it had a very soft conflict, but it was definitely worth seeing. I love Meryl Streep and the acting was great. It will make you so hungry!

Also note, you might have to arrive early, at least at my theater, the box office line was around the corner!

Julie & Julia (2009)

IMDb Video: Julie & Julia -- Trailer
I'll see the movie when it's out on DVD. Julia Child was really kind of unique--not someone you would expect to become a celebrity, known years after her death. Last night I found that PBS website (pbs.org--I think, but just google pbs and julia child) had videos of Julia Child's TV show available. Watched three of them. It was great to watch her again--such an everyday sort of person.

Julia Child was a known outspoken homophobe in her day. I won't be supporting this movie...as much as I love Meryl Streep.
