Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Stanley Tucci. I am so looking forward to this new film. I saw previews last night on tv. Writer-director Nora Ephron's adaption and combination of two memoirs explores the life of Julia Child and the effect it had on a young woman trying to restart her life. This looks yummy!

I saw a preview too, and it looks so good.
I remember watching Julia's cooking show when I was a little kid.
It (along with Star Trek) was just about the only television my dad would watch, and he got me hooked on it.
The plot sounds interesting, and I certainly look forward to seeing Nora Ephron's creation.

Don't forget me! I'm looking forward to it, too! Streep and Tucci worked so well together in The Devil Wears Prada. I missed the opening date. When is it scheduled to release? Edit: whoops, I should have checked your link. August 2009. Not too long now!

I am so excited about this movie. It's such a clever idea of merging the two. Nora Ephron has never let me down.

It begins today in our little town, and my sister-in-law happens to be here for the next couple weeks, so we hope to sneak off one hot afternoon.

Don't forget to eat BEFORE you go, otherwise you will be dying of hunger halfway thro!
I think it's a great shame that in real life Julia hated Julie's blog and thought it disrespectful. Julie was a huge fan of Julia Child and meant the blog to be a tribute as well as a humorous tale of her adventures in the kitchen.

I wish they would make a movie solely about Julia Child ... no need to cutesy it up with dueling storylines.

I agree.
That biography of her was riveting.
She was a very interesting person in her own right.
But I'll still go see J & J.

I don't know, I saw the trailer a few times and it didn't really get me jumping out of my seat in excitement.
