This movie is one of my favorites. When it was first in the theater I was coming unglued from the suspense.
I love Bill Paxton (now dad in Big Love) as freaked out scared space Marine
I love Vasquez the hispanic female point man - always first with the biggest gun, no fear
Hicks the cool corporal
Whats his face the comedian in an out of character as the lying scheming corporate sleaze bag
The Mama Alien, out to protect her brood
Ripley - the logical reluctant warrior

Great movie, as was the first one too. Cameron is great!

"Hey I don't know if you've been paying attention to current events dude but we just got our a*ses kicked!"

Vasquez ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! God I loved that woman. Total girl crush on her. Great role. Has she done anything after that?? On 2nd thought, don't answer that. I want to remember her for that one role.

Great movies. The second one has a director's cut that shows Newt and her family meeting the critters. I've liked all of them. The first was so suspenseful. Wow!

Excellent movie.

Hudson: "Hey, Vasquez! You ever get mistaken for a man?"

Vasquez: "No. Have you?"

To many great lines to list. Awesome special effects. Cool story. Plenty o' action.

This and T2 are the gold standards for the action/sci-fi genre.

I was deployed to a tent city in the Mid-east in 2003. The tents had heat and air that was carried down the middle of the tent roof in this round canvas like cloth "tube" that had holes cut in it. Had circular wires in it periodically for strength - fairly common air handling "style" I imagine but it you don't work in that business its not common to see.
I'm laying in my top bunk and to me - it looked a whole lot like the thing that the alien eggs traveled down. That thing that was attached to the alien mother that she ripped loose.
And then there is the spidery looking alien parasite thing - so fast, bony "knuckles" in the legs, the thing that attaches to the face. Reminded me of camel spiders.
So I laid there thinking - I wonder if the guy that wrote the scripts had ever been in the Mid-East?
Just a crazy thought.
