In the 2000s, Megan was young. Angelina was replaced due to old age. But that was about 11-15 years ago when she was in her prime. Hollywood is cruel. She is now well past the "youth scale" by Hollywood standards. I read an article where the produces look for young actresses in their early 20s to promote them in blockbuster franchises that they anticipate will go through several sequels. This means the "young" woman will get to her peak during this era and be about 28-29 at the last sequel. Margot Robbie is the perfect example. Then that's it by the standards of ageist Hollywood.
I think actresses who were young in the late 2000s and 2010s are now on the verge of being cut for many roles. Examples include Lucy Hale, Megan Fox, Selena Gomez, etc. They are now entering their 30s are deep in the 30s. This is both sexist and ageist but that's Hollywood.
There are exeptions on HBO or other network series like Grays Anatomy where older actresses get to work long-term into middle age. But that is rare. Now, a new wave of youth is being selected and those entering their 30s are being pushed aside. It's bizarre because it wasn't so long ago when Selena and Lucy played HS teens on "Wizards of Waverly Place" (circa 2009).
