I wonder why imsdb.com has so many drafts instead of final cut scripts? Take for example these ones.
http://www.imsdb.com/scripts/Scarface.html
http://www.imsdb.com/scripts/Dumb-and-Dumber.html
When you read it you can notice so many differences compared to what you've seen in the movies. Besides, they don't provide any details about when this draft was written so you won't know whether it was a very first draft or the very last one.

I find reading draft scripts a lot more interesting than the final script. Why read the final script if you've seen the movie? Seeing what DIDN'T get filmed is far more interesting.

Maybe this is due to how the copyright laws on scripts are set up....since the filmed one would belong to the studio.

I'd like to have a choice whether I'm going to read the draft or the final cut script. In fact it's interesting to read a draft but I'd be glad if they provide some details say when it was written and why such and such fragments were eliminated in the final cut.

Maybe. Though they have tons of script fragments that are still the exact copies of the final scripts.
