oh yeah - The Cable Guy

for some (wrong) reason critics hated that movie and much of the public followed suit.

i think it was one of the better Jim Carey movies. better than The Mask anyway. that movie was stupid.

Most George Clooney movies ( Sorry loved Clooney the first time I saw him on Roseanne years ago and had to know his name and looked it up in the credits) And let me tell you he is has aged wonderfully.
Just found out that George Clooney was also on the Facts of Life which is another show I watched alot yes he was hot even then didn't look up the name then tho not until Roseanne. He has a new movie out also gotta see it.

Explorers - Pre-teen film with a young Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix. It actually seems to have done pretty well at Rottentomatoes, but this is somewhat unreliable as it's an older movie where they only have a few reviews listed. What I remember it was panned by many critics and my Dad thought it was stupid. I worried seeing it as an adult I wouldn't like it, but I was wrong.

Joe versus the Volcano - I loved this movie when I first saw it. I liked it a bit less when I saw it again, but there is something eccentrically romantic and beautiful about the parts where they are floating on luggage. Or when he hears "The Ink Spots" and sees the gigantic Moon. (59 at Rottentomatoes, positive response from people I know but I think there were some detractors and plenty of disinterest)

She-Devil - Roseanne Barr/Merryl Streep movie. This is the only one that pretty much totally fits in both camps. I think the people I knew mostly disliked it and critics panned it. It's possible I'd dislike it too if I saw it again, but at the time it seemed like a well-crafted "joyously" trashy revenge film.

I love Monty Python And The Holy Grail. Some people just don't get that kind of humor.

Of the top of my head:

Any Jim Carry movies.

Enemy at the Gates - I do not know why most people (that I talked to) don't like it.

Kung Pow!

Title of thread: movies that you seem to like A LOT more than everyone else

I don't see: that the critics didn't like anywhere in there.

I like Galaxy Quest A LOT more than everyone else I know.
