I know, not every movie will go to every city, but it's an impressive list of what's out there. Some sound really interesting.

Did any of you actually browse through the list? I get the feeling you just listed movies that you've heard about elsewhere or saw trailers for.

I mentioned ones that I've seen trailers for or heard about the premise and the actors on different movie topic YouTube shows.to be honest. Then I have to factor in that the nearest theaters for me rarely play independent film. I think out of three, only one does. That and I only see movies like once every other week or so depending on what is out. Most of the movies in that list aren't in my viewing area sadly. New York gets much more limited releases than Phoenix does.

Pawn Sacrifice? Just saw it yesterday and it was good. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. I'm fascinated by Bobby Fischer anyway, and have see a couple documentaries, and already knew what happened during the world championship in Iceland, so I was going to see this anyway.

Sicario? We're talking Denis Villeneuve - who made Enemy and Prisoners in 2013 - 2 five star films. Of course I'll see this.

The Walk? Just saw the documentary Man on Wire, so this is a no brainer.

Steve Jobs? I'm there.

The Assassin? Hsiao-Hsien Hou. Nuff said.

Hitchcock/Truffaut? Hitchcock? Truffaut? Yeah!

The Revenant? Alejandro González Iñárritu directing - Amores perros, Babel, Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance). Another director who I'll see at the theater no questions asked.

I have no idea. My son or nephew introduces me to at least one new film a month. We re-watch old films, too. I'd really like to watch The Brave Little Toaster this week.
