Unless I'm misunderstanding the reply - That's not a remake of First Blood.
I loved that movie. Friend and I snuck in the see it as neither or our parents allowed us to see it. I would love to see a remake. Would even like it better if they stick to the novel.
It was a great movie and I'm not a big Stallone fan. What started it all was you had a pretty decent small town sheriff who does a douche bag thing: Escorting a drifter out of town when he had no real reason to do so. Then you have a have a pretty decent if on the edge veteran who decides he wasn't going to be pushed or kicked around. That sets off a string of events leading to a cataclysmic confrontation. The sheriff at the end realizes his mistake and has to live with it, so does Rambo. First Blood Trivia: The actor playing the jerk deputy who falls out of the helicopter was the same actor who played Gabby Johnson the mush mouthed gibberish speaking old timer in the movie : "Blazing saddles."

The one yelling from the rooftop when the new sheriff was riding into town?
"The Sheriff is a n-<BONG>"
"What he say?" "I think he said the Sheriff is NEAR"
Not to mention a very young David Caruso as one of the deputies.

Well Im not sure but I think the sheriff saw the "US ARMY" on his jacket and then his attitude went from there.....
That movie came out BEFORE THIS P.C. CRAP STARTED luckily..... (Its excellent)

Yep.
The book is even better in this regard. The sheriff is also a vet who served in a "good war" and came home with honors. Rambo served in Vietnam and came home a basket case. In the movie, the sheriff is clearly the bad guy and Rambo the good guy. The book is a lot more interesting.
In the book, the sheriff is basically a good guy who makes some colossally bad decisions. And Rambo isn't as clean cut a hero. He is definitely wronged by the sheriff and society at large, but he too makes some colossally bad decisions in reaction.
Anyway, it is a really good movie. But the book has a lot more depth.
I just watched this movie again last night, didn't realize I had it in my movie/Stallone collection because it's a two movie disc.
It's such a great movie and cast.
Under Special Features - Stallone didn't want to only be thought of only as Rocky and wanted to play an action role so was glad when First Blood came along.
Rocky is senseless fighting..... I really dont like any of those movies........ (A couple fights were OK but still)
