An amazing documentary on the exploitation of the ocean's top apex predator. Sharks play an extremely important role in keeping the ecological balance in the oceans. These creatures are being removed from the ocean at an astonishing rate and they reproduce very slowly..the result is that shark populations have been reduced by over 90% and are on the road to extinction unless something is done soon. This documentary exposes some of the mafia style networks that mercilessly exploit finite ocean resources for their own gain. The demand is for shark fins used in shark fin soup consumed in some Asian countries like China and Japan. I believe in order to tackle this we need to deal with it at the source - the demand for shark fin soup in restaurants.

www.sharktrust.org) There is only one thing in the sea that hunts and eats humans__and that is the saltwater crocodile, which eats well over a thousand people a year. They just haven't made a hit film about it yet.
