Lady Godiva by Peter & gordon is one of my fav 60s hits. It peaked @ # 6 in the us (#17 in the uk). Its believed to be true & actually happened way back then.

Thanks for the link Steel7! Yea, that song is a classic! It was only a few months previous they charted top 5 with "Woman". I remember getting that album as I was a member of the Capitol record club during my high school years. label # ST-2664, bought the 45 as well.

God, those two could sing! The follow up on "Lady Godiva" was "Knight In Rusty Armour", another great song. Back to "Lady Godiva", actually what might have be the best song on the album is their version of the Rogers and Hammerstein classic "Exodus"! Great version!

I also really like their follow up & last hit in 1967 called Knight In Rusty Armour.

Lady Godiva & Knight In Rusty Armour both sound great in stereo.

Stereo sound is the best!

Speaking of Peter and Gordon, they appeared at Beatlefest in Las Vegas a couple years ago. A hardcore British Invasion collector friend of mine goes to all the Beatlefests around the cities across the States, and saw the two of them do a concert there. They were very accommodating with the fans afterward, signing autographs and talking w/ the people. Like to have seen that!
