Do you guys know where Buddy Holly got the idea for the song "That'll Be The Day" from? He went to the movies and watched the John Wayne classic "The Searchers" and left the theater with the idea! Bet ya didn't know that? The Searchers (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1965-the Rolling Stones played the final leg of there US tour at the academy of music in NYC, during the Afternoon the recorded 6 songs for the Clay Pole TV show

1968- the Beatles began recording what became the White album, it's official name was simply the Beatles, and it was the 1st album released with the Apple Label, the 1st track they recorded was revolution.

1969- Led Zeppelin played the 1st of two nights at the Filmore East, NYC

1987- David Bowie kicked off an 87 date tour in Holland

2005 Coldplay's new album was illegally put on the internet a week b4 it's UK and US release

2007 A leaked copy of the new White Stripes album "Icky Thump" was played completely on Chicago radio station Q101-WKQX, Jack White personally called from Spain where he was touring to complain.

2008- Green Day went to #1 on the US album chart with"21st century breakdown" there 8th album.
