This was on FB awhile back. Here is mine.

Here are the rules. Test your memory and your love of live music by listing 50 artists or bands (or as many as you can remember) you've seen in concert. List the first 50 acts that come into your head. Oh, and number 1 should be the first act you ever saw (you can remember that, can’t you)? If you haven't seen that many, you can cut it down to 20 or 30.

Most of the concerts I saw were "gigs".

1. Oingo Boingo (at some high school in La Mirada 1981)
2. Incognito
3. Dead Kennedys
4. James Brown
5. Def Leppard (the wifes fav band, we went in 2007)
6. Black Flag
7. Public Image (PIL)
8. Strunz and Farah
9. Incubus
10. Dick Dale
11. Buddy Rich
12. Frank Sinatra
13. Lionel Hampton
14. Jerry Lee Lewis
15. Chuck Berry
16. Ozomotli
17. Eddie & the Subtitles
18. T.S.O.L
19. Social Distortion (about 25 times I think)
20. 24-7 Spyz
21. 96 Decibel Freaks
22. Red Hot Chili Peppers (1984)
23. Suicidal Tendencies
24. Toy Dolls
25. Bebel Gilberto ( 300 Brazilians and me in a club in Boston)
26. Charlie Hunter
27. Circle Jerks
28. D.I.
29. Dial 7
30. Hed (pe)
31. Mother Tongue
32. ***** Funky Sex Machine
33. Eminem
34. GBH
35. Misfits
36. Fear
37. G. Love & Special Sauce
38. Helmet
39. Rollins Band
40. Liquid Soul
41. Manic Hispanic
42. P-Funk
43. Royal Crown Revue
44. Sausage
45. Save Farris
46. The Grabbers
47. X Members
48. Lit
49. Sugar Ray
50. The Pharcyde

That was hard, I missed so many! Oh ya, like X.

Too many to list but I can tell you the loudest were AC/DC and Ted Nugent. In the size of the building I saw The Motor City Madman in it was the loudest concert I have EVER seen. AC/DC was very-very loud but was in a huge building. Ted had his amps cranked to the max. As a matter of fact, the concert was delayed over an argument between the building owners and Ted over a maximum allowable decibel rating. Obviously Ted won and it was RIPPING LOUD!!!!!! My ears were ringing for at least a day afterward. When he plays he claims all the buffalo go sterile within a 100 mile radius. Not quite that bad as it is a joke but pretty close! LOL

Gotta agree with Axle. Seen Ted Nugent in the mid-70's in a small venue SRO right up close to the stage. I knew something was up when Ted and the band took the stage and were stuffing cotton in their ears.My ears were ringing for two days.Other bands i remember seeing mostly in the late 60's and 70's in no particular order: Elvis,Rare Earth, Freddie King,Tower of Power, The Doobie Brothers,ELO,Led Zepplin, Jethro Tull, Willie Nelson,David Allen Coe and Charlie Daniels, Johnny and Edger Winters, ZZ Top.

I've literally been to thousands of concerts mostly because I worked for a concert promoter that did both indoor and outdoor venues. The bast part of that gig was not having to pay. Then there were the concerts put on by other promoters that I paid for.

I used to occasionally get to plug-in my Nakamichi reel-to-reel tape machine directly to the soundboard and get my own personal bootlegs.

I have seen Ted Nugent a few times and he was loud, but the loudest band I ever witnessed was The Kinks.

Here's a bootleg I recorded at the Fillmore of Quicksilver Messenger Service in 1967 direct from the soundboard....

Very cool, I like hearing the 2nd tear groups from the 60's, just as in every era there were some great bands that few people heard of.

Let's see

1. Children of Bodom, BTBAM and The Black Dahlia Murder
2. GWAR, Kingdom of Sorrow, and Toxic Holocaust
3. My friends former band Facelock, along with several abysmal deathcore bands (at least I got in free)
4. Cannibal Corpse, The Faceless, Obscura, Neuraxis
5. Amon Amarth, Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, and Lazarus A.D.
6. Judas Priest, Whitesnake, and Pop Evil (was only going for Priest)
7. Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust, Trap Them, and Cremains
8. Skeletonwitch, Howl, and Black Tusk
9. Megadeth, Testament, and Exodus
10. Danzig (left after a couple of songs), Marduk, Toxic Holocaust, and Withered
11. Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Vital Remains, and Devourment

So far, only one show that hasn't involved a mosh pit.
