I think this is taken from the Woodstock documentary- don't remember who did it. One thing this doesn't show you that the film does is the density of people that ultimately were at the concert- it was just packed; hundreds of thousands of people in the mud . There were so many people coming in that those running it couldn't keep up at the gate and collect $. Lots of people saw it for free. I always thought that the event, while generally thought of as a positive part of 70s culture, was potentially dangerous from a crowd control perspective.

I think what was amazing is that it was only the 2nd time they played together live for a crowd...talk about getting thrown to the wolves, but they pulled it off though.

Yes. But it wasn't. They were peaceful. They even had the whole "brown acid" problem, but still hardly any violence if any at all. There was the one kid who was run over by a tractor, but there is nothing to suggest that was anything other than an unfortunate accident.

Imagine the same scene, but instead of everyone smoking dope and dropping acid, there were several dozen kegs.

Can you imagine how many fights and/or people there would have been injured or killed?

David Crosby - The Byrds - good band

Steven Stills - Buffalo Springfield - good band

Graham Nash - The Hollies - good band

Neil Young - Buffalo Springfield - good band

Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young - lame barbershop quartet

Yeah.
I could maybe see the "barbershop quartet" reference, because those guys harmonized better than anyone not named Simon and Garfunkel.

They were exceptional and had so many great songs on just those first two records.

Meh. I'd rather hear Joni sing it.

It's hard to sing a song that hasn't been written yet.
