I don't think either band is truly amazing when performing live.

Zeppelin, they suck live.

I'd stay home and listen to some of their studio albums, both of these bands.
(But if you give me a copy of Tommy I'll fling it through the air like a Frisbee.)
I guess there's no explaining taste, but the fact that The Who have long been regarded as the best live act ever speaks for itself.

A drunk garage band??

Personally....while I really appreciate Led Zeppelin a LOT, I may even go out on a limb and say that I rate Cream and Blind Faith just as highly.

Steve Winwood, Clapton, Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce....Wow!

They lack the body of work that The Who or Zep does because of their limited time together however.

Gotta go with Led Zeppelin. Because Robert Plant is the singular yardstick all frontmen will forever be measured by.

Okay.....well going by studio albums alone, I like:

Led Zeppelin.....1, 2 and 3. That's all.

The Who......Quadrophenia and Live at Leeds. That's all.

So I guess I'm going with Led Zeppelin on this thread.

(Traffic and Eric Clapton - the only two concerts that I actually walked out on.....Traffic was so messed up on heroin at State University of Stony Brook, N.Y. - they couldn't play or sing or anything - and Clapton was doing the tour with his song, "Pretending", in Miami - boring stuff.)

Yeah and that theatrics put someone's ear out.
Nice work there Keith. BTW, liked that solo album you did with Ringo.

Best played LOUD.

....and who is it that says that? I've never heard that before, from anybody.
