Visually impaired, hearing impaired, wheelchair user, etc. Not meant as patronizing as I use a wheelchair and have osteogenesis imperfecta.

Anyway as I'm OI and it's "Wishbone Day" I'm going to start with songs that have OI musicians in them.

DEF LEPPARD - "Rocket" (Official) - YouTube

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Allen_(drummer)

They said that, even in his hospital bed, Rick was figuring out a way to return to drumming, working his feet against the foot of the bed, and thinking of what he needed to add to his drum kit.

Turlough O'Carolan ~ blinded by smallpox ~ 1670-1738

From Wikipedia:
Quote:
At the age of 18, O'Carolan was apprenticed to a good harper. At the age of 21, being given a horse and a guide, he set out to travel Ireland and compose songs for patrons. For almost 50 years, he journeyed from one end of the country to the other, composing and performing his tunes. ... He was the last great Irish harper-composer and is considered by many to be Ireland's national composer.
Much of his music has been lost, but many pieces were preserved. Here are some performances of his works:

Patrick Ball - Carolan's Quarrel With The Landla (with wild animals pics of european woods) - YouTube

O'Carolan's Farewell to Music - YouTube
This is thought to be his final work.

John Kay of Steppenwolf ~ congenital vision problems

Renegade -- Steppenwolf - YouTube

Steppenwolf - Snow Blind Friend (with lyrics) - YouTube

From Wikipedia (slightly edited):
Quote:
In the evacuation of East Prussia in early 1945, in harsh winter conditions, his mother first had to flee with the baby boy from the advancing Soviet troops. In 1948, the two also fled the East German Soviet occupation zone to resettle in West Germany (as recounted in his song "Renegade"). Teenage Joachim, suffering from eyesight problems, listened to music broadcast by the British Forces Broadcasting Service before his family moved to Canada in 1958. ... Kay suffers from increased sensitivity to light, so he wears sunglasses regardless of time of day and during his concerts. In addition, he was born with a congenital disorder, achromatopsia: complete color blindness~a defect that causes him to see in black and white and resulted in qualifying him as being legally blind.

Mick Mars Motley Crue
For most of his professional career, Mars has openly struggled with ankylosing spondylitis,[8] a chronic, inflammatory form of arthritis that mainly affects the spine and pelvis. It was initially diagnosed when he was 17 years old, and has increasingly impaired his movement and has caused him a great deal of pain
