Here are some of mine:

Gil Scott-Heron: Pieces of a Man
Randy Newman: Good Old Boys
Polyphonic Spree: The Fragile Army
Nazz: all three albums
David Bowie: Ziggy Stardust
Holly Golightly: Singles Round-Up

These are the best things I found this past year, though I'm probably forgetting a couple.

Lillie Allen. I won tickets to see her in Philly (I only entered because my little brother had mentioned her music is really good), and she is just great. Got her CD the next day.

A band called Midlake, from my old hometown, Denton, TX. I think they've been around for a while but I'd never heard of them until, like, six months ago. That's how cool I still am.

Midlake on YouTube.

Midlake on MySpace.

I just got around to Editors this year, although they came out two years ago. I really enjoyed their debut album, the back room.

I'm also now, just starting to get into Of Montreal.

I like to listen to stuff on my own time-frame. I don't like to be swayed by what's hot at the moment or whatever.

Of Montreal is very good. And if you like them enough, they have a pretty big catalog to enjoy!
