Pretty cool to see the Greatest Guitarist of All Time give a heartfelt interview like this (he's notoriously shy):

Can't believe he almost became a drummer instead! Thank God his brother Alex was stealing practice time on his drum kit so he'd be "nudged" into learning guitar. The world would've been deprived of His greatness.

Not bad for a 60 year old guy, huh?

Ed has always been one of my favorites. Just about the time the critics start saying Rock is dead...blah, blah, blah......they come out with a new album.

Teach ya to tell lies like that.

Rock is NEVER dead as long as Eddie and Dave are on the same stage together, creating that magic like they always do!

I caught the VH show in Baltimore back in 2008 --- these guys still got lightning in a bottle !!

MILFs were throwing bras and panties onstage that night.

I remember watching that Les Paul special a long time ago on VHS tape.

It proved that Eddie Van Halen was respected amongst his peers and pioneers of the industry. Let's see a modern music star try to get that kind of recognition!

Who is Beyoncé and Taylor Swift going to get recognition from --- the creator of Pro Tools or Auto-Tune?

Just like his predecessor Les Paul did with the electric guitar and Gibson Les Paul, Eddie also pioneered many breakthroughs not only in equipment, but the way he approached the instrument and his own unique guitar style. Things have not been the same since.

Slash, Zakk Wylde and Dimebag Darrel (RIP) think the world of Eddie.

Dimebag is even buried with Eddie's original bumblebee.
