I voted for "Monday, Monday" because it's my favorite of the bunch. "The Sound Of Silence," "Summer In The City" and "96 Tears" were the other songs I considered.
"Monday, Monday" was indeed a great one.
I loved just about everything the Mamas and the Papas did. And, good as they were, they had this habit of out-doing themselves with so many new hits. "I Saw Her Again" was one of those. Only got to #5 on the Billboard chart, but was better than most others on the poll list.
I went with "Good Vibrations". Classic Beach Boys harmonies, but with a more experimental backing track. Too bad Brian Wilson wasn't able to finish Smile, I believe it would have been rated right up there with Sgt. Pepper.

These are practically all classics, and any one of them would be a good choice, so, yeah, it's a tough call. After looking them over, I chose "Poor Side Of Town" by Johnny Rivers.
Should have made this year a multiple choice, so many great songs. Lesson learned.
