I played Van Halen's "1984" album on cassette so many times driving in my '77 Chevy, I don't know how the tape didn't wear out.

I was torn between that and "Time After Time", which I think is a wonderful song and done very well by Cyndi Lauper. Also, very, very funny usage in "My Name is Earl"..

Jump.. Was a monster song.. And, had very funny usage by a couple of DJs from DC when some asshat threatened to jump from the Bay Bridge in Maryland.

Am I the only one who just despises ALL of Prince's music? I hate it all. Ghostbusters.. The whole lawsuit about it being ripped off from "I want a new drug".. I don't hear it. I never understood that..

I also liked Karma Chameleon and Footloose.. Though, neither of which would I consider the best of the year.. They were good.
