In the early 80s, these women were part of The Revolution, Prince's band. They were first seen as the two backup singers/keyboardists in "1999", and later Wendy is seen as the guitarist in "Kiss". Wendy Melvoin (guitar) and Lisa Coleman (keyboard), it's easy to be distracted in this video during Wendy's solo.
Sure, "I remember Bananarama". They had at least 3-4 fun hits. Pop, but I went with it.
Shakespear's Sister was a followup band for one of the group. I recall liking a song or two from that. Looked briefly again recently. Have mixed feelings but I might browse more another time. Some groups get one chance for me. Some 2 or more.
Took a quick spin on some other One Eyed Doll songs. Probably not going back. Not quite for me. But maybe I didn't dig deep enough. Always possible that a quick review is too quick. But time is limited.
My favorite Cat Power song (haven't listen that much) was Cherokee.
