[I've posted this on at least 9 different Reddit subs, and several other forums, and I still haven't been able to ID this song. Below I'll include everything I know about the song, including the lyrics I can make out, bands that have been ruled out, and links to a Vocaroo page where you can listen to and/or download the track and a YouTube video I made for the purpose of ID'ing the song.]

I recorded the song to a cassette from TV around the mid- to late-2000's. I wrote "Popcorn" on the cassette label, but I don't know if this is a band name, song or album title, or what. There's a possibility that "Popcorn" has nothing to do with the song, but I can't imagine why else I would have written it at the time. The band looked young, late-teens or early-20s. It was a music video that I found randomly while going through the music video section of my cable provider's "on demand" service. (I live in Illinois, and my provider was Comcast.) The video didn't look high budget, but it didn't look like it was shot with someone's camcorder either. So, professionally shot, but limited budget. I've tried Shazamming/SoundHounding it and Googling lyrics (see below), as well as searching for bands and songs called "Popcorn". I'll leave the Vocaroo and YouTube links here (the audio quality is bad, but it's all I've got):

https://vocaroo.com/ap5tyRXfHwv (This sounds different than the YouTube audio because I tweaked it a bit to try and get a better sound. It's still not great, and there's a problem with "noise" during the louder parts, but I feel the vocals are at least a little easier to hear)

https://youtu.be/efBYGTZ1NY4

Here are the lyrics, as best as I can make them out:

I've always seen you from a better view
And I've always seen the angel inside of you
????????? sorrow
Live today and die tomorrow
[Chorus:
You can't cry forever
No
You can't cry forever]
Knocking on an angel's door
It's me, the one you adore (that's right)
It's too late, ????? princess
?????????
[Chorus]
[Guitar solo]
[Chorus]

Excluded (things have been suggested but ruled out):

Any song by the bands F.Y.P., Popcaan, Neuntage, or Rosengarten
A song from the soundtrack of either the 1991 or 2007 films titled "Popcorn".

Instead of "..you can't cry forever", could it be "...you can't buy my liver"?

sometimes we mis-hear the lyrics.

Since your link didn't show up, this should make it easier for everyone:

(I have no idea who this is, but somebody else here might. Good Luck!)

Thought I'd give a little uodate: Someone on Reddit searched Facebook for the lyrics (this was the method the guys from the Reply All podcast used to solve the case of another mystery song), but had no luck.

This situation reminds me of a podcast I heard a couple months ago: CASE OF THE MISSING HIT--it's a fascinating story.....

I listened to that. Good story. One confusing thing is that the song was so hard to find, yet when I looked for the song on YouTube I saw someone called obscuremusicchannel uploaded it to YT nine years ago.

3rd line sounds like: "forgive my tears and my sorrows"
9th line sounds like: "It's to late for lovin' princess"

I hear no "You" before "can't live forever"

11th line possibly: "oh I'd rather sleep in, as soon as touch"
