I remember liking her first US single in 1971 - a cover of George Harrison's cover of Bob Dylan's "If Not For You" - but really didn't care for her country pop style.
That said, I have a couple of her songs on my "Guilty Pleasures" playlist on Spotify, and love to belt out "Hopelessly Devoted To You" whenever I see Grease on TV.
I give her props for reinventing herself a couple of times, and of course for her courage, support, and advocacy in the face of fighting cancer for many years.

I had no idea so many teenage boys had crushes on her in the 70s, especially given that most of the guys I knew back then wouldn't have been caught dead listening to her music.
