There is a song which I can't stand. It might be one of the worst recordings of the 1970s.

The song is "Muskrat Love." It was recorded by Captain and Tenille was released about 1975.

The narrative of this song is a romantic liason between two muskrats named Susie and Sam.

One of the worst features of this song are the muskrats screeching at the end of the recording.

UGH!

If I never heard country music again I don't think I'll be too upset.

I had a co-worker who I think would be happy to never again hear Nickleback or Limp Bizkit.

Haha .. I actually love C&T's version. I ignore the words. The music is good and I've always loved Tennille's voice.

There is one Country group I do like, and that is the Petersens. They've visited Finland, you can check it out on utube. I think they are from Harlan County, KY or West Virginia.

LOL. America recorded Muskrat Love on their Hat Trick album (1973). Gerry Beckley's vocals almost makes it sound sexy.

The Police/Sting - oh those whiny vocals! They go straight through your brain, it sounds like a 2-yo screaming
