I'll just never be able to get past that one.
Sometimes you just wish these people would just shut up and perform.

so true. I don't like his public persona (he's far to egotistical/arrogant), but I did like his first 3 CDs. haven't bought 808 and Heartbreaks b/c I can't see myself enjoying it as much as his previous CDs (I'm not a huge fan of the current singles). I just try to ignore the many stupid things that come out of mouth (and those silly oversized glasses he always wears)!

His music does not match the oddness of his personality? Some artists are just plain straaaaaange, but their music stands up for itself. The last
SNL thing with the audio-tone squarely put him into the realm of "not my favorite".

I think the guy's a great producer- I love most of what he does for others, as well as himself, but lyrically he's just mediocre. I think he put more into his lyrics in his first CD, but since it has seemed to fall off.

His last CD was a risk, and I do like some of it- a few songs are real tight, but it's a dark dark cd. You can tell through the lyrics that dude needs some help.
I like his music.

I like some of the stuff he does. But I do not like the persona.

And what is up with the Lionel Richie haircut??
When I saw him on the Grammy show all I could think of was Lionel Richie and "Hello"

I think Mr. West is incredibly UNtalented. For the love of God, how in the hell did this guy become such a star. I don't care for any of his garbage. Boggles the mind what poor taste young people have today. 50 cent is another no-talent. Add Alicia Keys to the mix. She doesn't sing anything that sounds like it has never been done before.

I think he's talented. "Flashing Lights" is simply amazing. I like the dark, sinister feel to it. I also like the African tribal beat to "Love Lockdown".
