Specifically speaking: states like PA, NJ, NY, MD, MA...

For me:
Philadelphia:
"Rock Steady"~Whispers (this was playing on the R&B station when my family drove up there...good memories)
"Green Light"~John Legend
"Love Won't Let Me Wait"~Luther Vandross (in Philly, there was a lot of Luther playing...)
"Closer"~Ne-Yo
"Stay With Me"~DeBarge
a lot of old school songs

NYC:
"Return of the Mack"~Mark Morrison
"Love Like This"~Faith Evans
"Sexy Can I"~Ray J
"Love in this Club"~Usher
"Echo"~Usher
"Hush"~LL Cool J
pretty much any hip-hop song...lol

Washington, D.C.:
"Heaven Sent"~Keyshia Cole
"When It Hurts"~Avant
"If I Was Your Man"~Joe
"Year of the Lover"~Lloyd
"I'll Be Loving U Long Time"~Mariah Carey
"I Stay In Love"~

Boston:
"How To Save a Life"~Fray
"Clocks"~Coldplay

Right now, this is all I can think of..

Well I don't know a lot of these songs by name, but that's typical for me. Even songs I'm very familiar with, until I hear the first few bars I won't be able to identify them...

But I guess for me it would be artists that I associate with regions. For eg, while The Beach Boys and The Eagles and The Grateful Dead are definitely west coast, Steely Dan and The Rascals and Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons are definitely East Coast.
