I love Queen. However, I don't really like huge crowds of people. There is at least one very exceptional dvd of them in concert (with Mercury) that is thrilling from beginning to end. So, because I don't like crowds, and they usually blast the music at such venues as to be intolerable to the ear; I am happy to enjoy the DVD. I went with a group of people (I got dragged)to a Reba McEntire concert some fifteen years ago - it was soo freakin' loud. I'm amazed I can still hear. I would have loved to seen Horowitz or Rubinstein, but, happily I have several of their recordings. I went to three Etta James concerts and they were amazing. I would go to more operas, if I didn't live in rural, BF Indiana. I am most grateful for recorded music.
I never got to see Alice Cooper or Deep Purple during the early 1970's and I have never seen Led Zep live (I have seen the Firm several times as well as Robert Plant, though). DP is one of my favorite all time bands and I worship Richie Blackmore. However, I did get to see the Who on the last tour with Keith Moon (a great show that hasn't been matched by their subsequent tours with Kenny Jones).
I also didn't get to see Bowie during the Spiders from Mars period. In fact, the only time I've seen him live was at the Forum in L.A. on the Heroes tour, which wasn't that great a show.
