As a professional drummer, I'm of course a huge music fan, so from time to time I check in on this forum. So I mean no offense here when I say that it's usually pretty boring: the same old thing: "Favorite '80's song" or "what song are you listening to right now?" Just stuff for fans.
I'm wondering where--if at all--you guys post stuff for musicians? Like for us to trade tips and technical stuff about plying our craft. Ya know, something a bit more in depth that the kinda stuff I'd expect to find on Yahoo! Answers.

I would start a "who here is a drummer?" or "who plays in a band" thread and see where it goes from there. That would be a good way to gauge the interest of members.

I think the city-data-forums are for general interests, if you want to specialize in one topic you will have to go to another forum, in that case especially a forum for musicians. Does anybody know interesting US based forums for musicians? The only one I know is Gulf Coast Bands Forum, but I'd like to know more similar forums as I'm interested in the American musician scene.
By the way, I'm an european based drummer.  |

What instrument do you play?
PLAY? READ MUSIC? SING? thread
Check this thread for those with common interest. If we have enough interest and traffic, the Administrator may give a INSTRUMENT sub-forum.

I thought of the same thread and was about to search for it to post but you beat me to it.
I am familiar with other forums such as this one but never seen one just for Musicians. |
