John Frusciante has left Red Hot Chili Peppers, says source | Musicradar.com

No Navarro, please, I've had enough of his hair dye and nipples.

It's going to be interesting. They've become a Hit Machine, but have retained artistic credibility. I'd rather see a Klinghoffer, a relative unknown. Seems like more of a Mick Taylor move than a Ron Wood.

Well, I guess we can't be too surprised about this.
I am glad I got a chance to see the RHCP *with* Frusciante back in 2006.
I really, really love Frusciante, and I think those guys have a special magic together.
I am not all that familiar with Klinghoffer. I guess your Mick Taylor analogy fits.

Ben Kenney (he used to play guitar with the Roots, and now plays bass for Incubus) but he is a pretty dope guitarist though, and he did a pretty good cover of a RHCP song w/ the Roots.
