It is decent. I liked it more when originally popular at the age of 13. I moved on, but when I hear it, I still nod my head to it. It is upsetting that the song has made its way into the consciousness of flip flop wearing floozies who think they know 80's music. The corporate media embrace of songs is very annoying! Guitar Hero, Rock Band, texting, i-phones, ringtones, ect. I am not a part of it. I am disconnected from this society!
As someone else posted, Stone In Love is a much better song.
Everytime I hear Green Onions, it reminds me of when they always used it as the music bed going in and out of the commercials on the Howard Stern radio show.
Isn't that the one that says "born and raised in south Detroit"?
Here in southeast Michigan we always crack up at that as there is no "south Detroit". I guess Windsor, Ontario comes closest.
Anyway, don't care for the song much and definitely not a Journey fan.
I like it. I wouldn't say it's the "best song ever", but it's awfully good for its genre. I would say it's up there (in terms of classic rock songs from that era) with Tommy Tutone's "867-5309/Jenny" and Boston's "More than a Feeling".
I hate it. Plus it's like a zombie and it just never dies. I hate Perry's voice, the lyrics, his annoying hair, the way he looks like a pony...
That's just, like, my opinion, man.
Good, I'm not the only one who feels this way. What's worse, as soon as I hear this Moderator cut: language problem?? song, it's stuck in my head for days. I hate the damn song, but I'll hum it for days. Just thinking about it I hear Perry's nasally whine...ahhh!
Is Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" the best song ever created?
Please explain the question and poll -
Best song by Journey or Overal BEST SONG since beginning of all music?
