They've got to make a living. Or are they dead? Either way the song itself isn't really selling anything, it doesn't even have any lyrics to get offended at.

"Take 5" by Brubeck has been in loads of commercials, but it's still a great jazz piece.

Default Well.....

Eh....great tune. But I don't even know if it's the best funk instrumental tune by a band primarily employed as a studio / backing band. I mean, "Cissy Strut" by the Meters is fantastic. Again, this isn't a knock on Green Onions, but, the "best"? I don't know.....

It's one of the coolest songs ever written. But THE greatest? No--I'd still opt for "Like a Rollin' Stone!"

That is a good one but I can't say it's the best song ever created ... but I can't say it isn't either ... it up there on my list of great ones. It is one of the best instrumentals of my era. I don't really see how one can choose one song as the best ever created ... there is just so many goods ones out there.
