always sound new when i hear them. IMO, timeless

both i believe were released on 1985 albums but the hits themselves were in 1986, I remember both constantly on the air around the time of the Chernobyl accident

the first is a contemplative tune with a ticking intro about some kind of neurotic or guilt ridden individual ridiculed for their inability to take risks or be spontaneous

the second is a joyous upspirited tune is simply about simply finding someone attractive, the lyrics are nothing special(IMO) but the hooks certainly are

guess away!!

I would guess "Time" by Pink Floyd for the first, but that was released in the 70s.

The second describes "You are so Beautiful to Me" by Joe Cocker, but I'm not sure if that was released in the 70s or not.

However, you said they're definitely 80s tunes.

Default well

the Cocker tune was 1977 so ratchet up the years by 9 to get to 1986 there T Kramar

The artists of both these tunes most likely did not achieve the notoriety that Cocker and Floyd did, but i think they were respected and liked for the short time they were around

Default the second one was

upbeat and spirited unlike the Cocker tune which was serious and sentimental

the second was sentimental too but no way like Cocker's tune

both probably bubble-gum 80's at the time but if you can't stand what is played today you'll love these 2

If you are talking about the video I posted it was Howard Jones - No One Is To Blame.
