How is everybody doing today? It's Sunday and quiet day. Ginger is doing well, in fact I stopped giving her pain killers. Don't want a drug addict Golden do we? She has a way about her. When we walk around the complex, (13 buildings) she will guide me as she knows the grounds well. If she wants to potty, she will steer me in the back of the building (vain) and if she wants to walk the sidewalk, she will turn left and by pass the walkway to the back. If she wants to see if any of her friends are playing on the tennis court, she will turn right. In the back, if she is done, she will steer me to the sidewalk like "thats it" LOL! When she see's one of the other dogs that she knows, and is excited, she hops up in the air like a small Boxer, all fours off the ground. She truly enjoys the sounds of young children laughing and playing. In one of the buildings there is 4 toddlers. If Ginger hears them, she will sit quietly and watch the children with tail wagging. She is just too rough to be let loose with them. She can knock them down unaware of her own power and weight. When the kids come up to her, I make her sit and shake hands even though she wants to slobber them.

Hi 2g's, Glad to hear that Ginger is doing well. I thought about you when I heard this piece on NPR's All Things Considered. Interesting story and perhaps cautionary tale. Read, listen or download the podcast - 5 minutes. Enjoy!

Oh my! I missed the fact that there was to be a follow up with results. This was on last week and I was working in my shop while listening. Must have been distracted. Here's the very interesting answers to the mystery - 7 minutes. Thanks for alerting me to this
