Can anyone confirm this or is this something I overheard in a bar during a blackout and am confusing it with fact?
Wings At The Speed of Sound had a song on it where Linda sang called Cook Of The House it was a cute little diddy and she sounded ok.

It's a tough call for me on this one. To be sure, both Wings and his solo career have had a release here or there that turned out to be a clunker (just my opinion), but one thing about it, he was the most active Beatle in regards to cranking out not only music, but hits.

I'm going to lean towards Wings. From 1973 to 1979 those releases by Wings were extremely popular. Wasn't crazy about Wings At The Speed of Sound, but Band On The Run was/is one of my favorite albums-period.

Here's one with Wings--maybe not a "hit", but I liked it.

I owned a tape of 20 hits billed to him and him alone, but I guess some of them were with Wings as well.

Even though Wings was considered a group,it's still pretty much Paul solo. He wrote most of the songs and sings them. Same as right now he's considered solo but he has a great band behind him.Check out Good Evening New York City dvd they sound great.Either way there's no denying he's a hit maker.

He definitely did the best with the Beatles. I don't think he did very well with Wings at all.

Deprogrammer hired by the Simpsons (touting his experience): "I got Paul McCartney out of Wings."

Homer: "You idiot, he was the best one."

Wings was more formulaic than his solo works, especially the stuff played for the 1976 WIngs concert which were included in Wings Over America lp. Especially the stuff from Venus and Mars and Speed of Sound lp's

on his own, his music was a little more free form/experimental like Ram, McCartney, McCartney II. around 86 and after he rocked harder with Press To Play and Flowers In The Dirt
