I remember reading about this a few months ago and then I sort of forgot about it. I'd be interested in watching it, but my dislike for Zeppelin always clouds my choice. I'm sure I'll talk myself into Netflixing it some night after a few beers.
It's in my Netflix queue.
I like all those guys.
I've read criticism of putting White up there with the other guitar statesmen, but I've always thought White showed both respect for his predecessors as well as talent of his own.
I am interested in what these guys might have to say, but also would just like to hear them playing.
It doesn't sound like anythng to change your schedule over but I would rent it to watch home. Reminders of when music was great is always welome and fun to watch,
I need to remember to put it in my queue. I haven't seen it yet but I've seen many clips and read several interviews about it, looks very interesting. For those who don't know about it, don't watch it expecting a concert movie. It has plenty of live footage, but is really a documentary about music, guitar, and what they mean to the three artists.
I was a little disappointed with this movie. i thought it would be more about the guitar, more of the 3 of them playing together and hanging out, banter and all that. i wanted more of the energy of the three of them hanging out and less of the history I could have looked up on wikipedia. Not bad, because I like the music and the musicians, but I think it could have been so much better if they focused on the three of them hanging out and playing music together more, and less on the history of the guys.
That's sort of what it was, but rather than receiving praise from the courtiers, Jimmy Page was self-effacing and more about his enthusiasm for music.
I actually liked all the history stuff, especially the Edge in Dublin.
Maybe they will do It Might Get Loud II and the guys will really cut loose.
