Damn...Jaq stole my Tom Waits idea. Well, OK, how 'bout Glenn Fry or Don Henley of The Eagles? They could do sort of a "Smuggler's Blues"-type thing for Bondie!

Exactly...I don't think 'hardcore 007' has been done yet.

Have any of you heard that song "The Man With The Golden Gun" that the original Alice Cooper group did? It was done in the naive thought that if they released a song named after the upcoming Bond movie, the producers would have no choice but to use it. It wasn't used (Lulu did the theme for that movie), but it was released on the 1973 album "Muscle of Love".

I wonder if Sharon Jones could pull off a Bond theme. I'd like to hear her get a shot.

David Bowie...

Rush might be interesting, but I think I'd want to go with an British artist.

Interesting question I've never considered. The Bond songs, except for the female ones, have little in common, I guess you could have anybody.

As much as I'd like a metal band, it think the results would be cheesy.

For females, perhaps DUFFY, AMY WINEHOSE, ALISON KRAUSS, JEWEL or JOAN OSBOURNE...

For males, maybe BOB DYLAN, OASIS, ROLLING STONES...

Just for fun JUNIOR BROWN, WILLIE NELSON, RUSH...
