Hi all!
My husband & our kids are seriously considering relocating to the Myrtle Beach area. We love it there and everything checks our boxes except the wages! My husband is an admissions director for a skilled nursing facility. We are ok with a pay cut but didn’t know if anyone had a rough idea how much people in those types of roles make? The cost of living down there seems a lot less so I guess it’s all relative. Thank you in advance!!

Depending on where you are coming from the cost of living can be less. You can get a 3 bedroom, 3 bath in a nice neighborhood for between $200,000 and $300,00. Gas right now is about $1.40 gallon. Property taxes are much lower if you are coming from the Northeast. Groceries are about the same.

This site compares cost of living between two places https://smartasset.com/mortgage/cost...tor#2HkXbey39G

Glassdoor doesn't list a salary for an admissions director for a nursing home, but does list a salary range for a nursing home administrator average at $35,000. 16% below the national average.

We were concerned about that as well but cost of living is a lot lower in SC so it's a wash. Look at homes in Carolina Forest or Little River and you'll see
$280,000 new build with $2,600/taxes. Where are you going to find that?
