OK this will come off as a strange one, probably. Actually, I'm pretty sure it will.
I recently took a brief vacation in Myrtle Beach with my wife and 6-year-old daughter. My daughter collects those "flattened pennies" that you see in a lot of the touristy places. (Please see attached image.) She even keeps them in a cute little "Penny Passport" book I bought her.
But when we were in MB, I forgot to make her one. After getting back, I promised her I'd get her one somehow.
The favor I'm requesting is for someone in MB to crush a penny and mail it to me. Yes, I do feel stupid asking.
For anyone willing to do this, I'll PayPal or mail you $5.50 as a show of appreciation. ($0.51 of that will go toward making the crushed penny, since it costs $0.50 to operate the machine.) I'm pretty sure a regular first-class USPS postage stamp would suffice for the postage.
I'm not too concerned with what image gets put on the penny, so that would be your choice, if you were willing to do this for me. I do want it to be something that references Myrtle Beach (or something in Myrtle Beach), however.

Well, it would have been awesome, if he had actually done what he said he'd do. He did not.
And this is exactly why I asked people to send me a private message in response. That way, I would have updated the thread when the request was actually taken care of. But after that first response, everyone just thought it had been taken care of, when it was not.
You can direct the hate-beams elsewhere. I don't expect favors from anyone, least of all strangers. But it's not cool to say you'll do something and then ... not.
Now I've got to put up a fake email address and ignore this forum completely, because I expect nasty replies, and I just don't need the hassle.
Did you ever get your penny? If not, let me know. My boss has a summer house in MB and he's down there all summer, until mid August. I'm sure he, he sons or one of the family members can help you out if need be.
I was there last week but didn't see this thread until now, but I'm sure they will help out if they can!
